What a day.....

So I always feel like I really don’t have anything good to blog about and well I don’t know if you would really consider this good. Worst case scenario you get a good laugh out of me or a boring story. ANYWAYS… yesterday I had my first experience calling 911. I don’t think I have ever been so nervous in my life.
It all started when someone was telling us at church on Sunday to be careful not to leave your windows open in your house because her neighbor’s house gotten broken into and had a bunch of stuff stolen. It creeped me out just a little bit just because it was in the neighborhood behind our apartment complex but when I got home from church I didn’t think much about it anymore.
Well the next morning I wake up just in time to go to my doctor appointment. Just before I was about to leave I got this really LOUD knock on my door. Usually I don’t answer the door but obviously I had just woken up and didn’t think much about it. Luckily it wasn’t too bad. So I answer the door and it is some random guy I didn’t know. He seemed shocked when I answered the door and then quickly was said, “Uh… does Juan live here?” I said, “No” and shut the door. It creeped me out a little especially when I saw his ginormous back pack but I didn’t do much after that and just headed on to my appointment. It then clicked about what the girl from church had said.
After my appointment I pull into my apartment complex and what do I see??? A cop car! I am thinking oh great! Someone broke into out apartment. No one did but just moments later my neighbor came over and told me that she had a guy this morning knock on her door really loud. He did it like 5 or 6 times. She was smart and didn’t answer the door. She looked out the window and not only did she see the creepy guy at the door but she saw someone squatting behind the tree in front of our apartment. Little did we know they were the same guy; I just didn’t see the second guy because the tree is directly in front of out door. She then proceeded to tell me that 10 minutes later she had another knock on her door. Again she didn’t answer and looked through the window. There was a big truck hauling a trailer and three guys in it. They eventually left.
My neighbor was explaining all this to me because she was the one who had called the cops. They got her report and left. But one of the main reasons she had come to talk to me was because she was leaving for the next hour was scared that she might come home to someone in her house. (She lives above me) I told her I would listen and watch to see if anything weird happened. Well just my luck…20 minutes later that big truck shows up again. They all get out, one goes to the trailer get something (I couldn’t see what it was directly) and they walk right in front of our apartment doors (they are right next to each other). Here I am freaking out. I had no clue what to do. I tried to call my neighbor, couldn’t get a hold of her so sure enough I just called 911. I had never done that before but my voice and body was shaking. I explained to the lady taking my call what had happened previously and what was now going on. She asked for a license plate number I couldn’t see it. She then asked for a description of the truck. I told her. She asked if they had any company writing on the truck. They didn’t. AT this time I was a little closer to my window to get a description of the truck. All of a sudden I see one of the guys looking at me (he could tell I was on the phone). I tell the lady. She says I will have the police come over talk to them and then talk to you. Of course, right when I got off the phone they get back into their truck and take off. This was just all too scary for me. One reason being if there was any construction going on at our apartment our manager always lets us know. So I knew they weren’t doing that. They might have tried to act like it. Maybe they weren’t doing anything but it still freaked me out.
Well 2 cops shows up at my apartment, the same one as before and another one. I talked to one of them for about 10 minutes and told him all that had happened. He wrote it all down the information that I told him. He said he would put the report in so the other cops around would know and that they would be patrolling the area for the rest of the day. They sat in front of the apartment for about 20 minutes. It made me feel a lot safer. I am thinking what if those other guys come back and try to get me since they saw me on the phone. Anyways they had just pulled away and luckily they were able to find the first 2 guys that knocked on the door just down the street. (Joe had just gotten home from work and saw them talking to two guys.) I went out and sure enough it was them. My neighbor had just gotten home so I was telling her all that happened. The cop then came over to us and asked how long we had lived there which was 2 years for us and 1 month for our neighbor. We told him and he said that the guys were looking for their friend Carlos who had lived there about a month ago. First off no guy named Carlos has lived next door, yet in our complex and 2 when he talked to me he was looking for Juan. Don’t you find that a little weird? Anyways he had gotten their info. He also searched their back backs. They had drinks and a box cutter in there. He asked if they had an association with the other guys. They didn’t know what he was talking about. The cop told him to stay away from the area and that his friend did not live there.
So that was my story, I think I was freaked out because of what my friend at church had told me. I didn’t know if those guys were working together. I was thinking what if they had the 2 guys go around and see who was home and then the other guys would break in. I always assume the worst. Anyways the rest of the day I was scared to leave.

7 months

So I have officially started my 7 month mark and I will tell you it definitely feels like it. Not only do I feel huge but it is so much harder to do things such as getting up from the couch and bending down to tie/buckle my shoes. Things are continuting to go well. I have been getting to feel a little sick these past few days. Hopefully it won't last too long. Anyways...the little guy moves a lot. It is fun to watch him. I have to go to get my blood drawn on Saturday to test for gestational diabetes. Let's hope all goes well.

On the 3rd of July ( I know it is a little late) we went to Bountiful to spend time with some friends and watch the fireworks.
So my sister and her family came to Utah over the holidays and we had a chance to spend the day with them. They wanted to go geocaching so that is what we spent the day doing. This is the site of one of the geo caches that we never found. Let me say that geocaching is alot harder than it sounds we spent like 3-4 hours doing it and only found 2 out of 6. I hope that they enjoyed it!

Meeting the Cougar!!!!!

While geocaching we decided to meet the BYU cougar. He was nice at first........
....but things went sour when the cougar mentioned something about Joe's weight!!!!
After a hard fought battle, Joe won the fight and was able to claim the cougar his own!!!!!
